The fantasy themes of the series will definitely appeal to teen readers who loved fairy tales and adventure stories growing up, though ACOTAR is more adult than Hans Christian Andersen. However, ACOTAR could be a good starting point for older teens.12 – 17 years

Also, the book is definitely rated R which was what mainly changed the plot, and I know that may be appalling for parents to hear, however, this book has been around since 2013, and that book was not meant for younger teens to begin with, even when it was physically published.
Can a 13 year old read Shatter Me : but if you want a age rating id say a mature 12 year old could handle it but 14+ sound fine.

If We Were Villains is appropriate for older teens. It has some graphic content and violence and requires a mature reader to be appreciated.

“It Ends with Us” by Colleen Hoover is generally recommended for mature readers due to its themes of domestic violence and complex relationships. The book deals with heavy subject matter, including abuse and its psychological effects, which may not be suitable for younger readers.
READ THIS BOOK
This is one of my all time favorite books. Easily good for a 14 year old, and most 13 year olds should be fine.
Can a 14 year old read YA
We are the only industry who calls teens young adults, arguably a misnomer because in the beginning YA lit was classified as a book written for teens ages 12-18. These days, most YA books are classified as ages 14 and up.Madi ~☆TheBookNerdDiaries☆~ There are some very vague sex scenes that are often lost in random metaphors and mentions of wanting to commit suicide/self-harm in the first book, not sure about the others. I'd say if you are a parent, read this before your child and judge it.Netflix's You Is Definitely Not For Kids — Here's What to Know If Your Teen Is Asking to Watch. If you've avoided the internet's collective obsession over one of the latest shows added to Netflix — You, starring Penn Badgley of Gossip Girl as Joe, a psycho stalker — you're actually missing out.
Sydney Sweeney & Glen Powell's Movie Contains Language, Sexual Content, & Nudity. The Motion Picture Association (MPA) gave Anyone But You an R-rating, which indicates that it is not suitable for viewers under the age of 17. This rating was given based on language, sexual content, and brief graphic nudity.
Can a 14 year old read the fine print : The age rating would be 15 and up. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance novels and enjoys a good story.
Can a 14 year old read It Starts with Us : Neither book was marketed to teens, but this sequel still has enough sexy stuff and romance to appeal to teens. Sexual content includes a few sex scenes between adults that describe genital penetration, thrusting, moaning, positioning, kissing with some detailed descriptions, manual stimulation to orgasm, and oral sex.
Can a 13 year old read a good girl’s guide
It just matters on if you think you can handle it. Bianca I'm currently reading this book and I find it to be a good book. Age wise I'd recommend this book to someone who can handle the themes discussed in this book (like murder, suicide, drugs etc). I'd say someone between the ages of 13 and older.

How many minutes should a 14 year old read : Of course, it's hard to get your child or teen to curl up with a good book for hours — there's just so many other fun things to do. But you might be pleased to hear that the benefits of reading just 20 minutes a day have been proven by research.
