Can I play Lost Ark alone : While leveling, everything can easily be done solo, even instanced dungeons. When you first reach endgame, the first things you're likely to do are chaos dungeons, which are also quite solo friendly. From there you'll soon find your way to the Spire, which is solo-only.

Steam downloads the compressed files into a temp folder, unpacks them, then removes the temp files. You need enough space for both. LostArk is 72.8GB on disk when everything is installed and all the temp files are deleted, and iirc the compressed files were 58.4GB Totaling 131.2GB required.

I enjoy playing it solo, but many other people do not. My suggestion is just to give it a try and see if you like it. It's free to play, so the only "cost" is going to download bandwidth and maybe a bit of time if you don't end up liking it. games dead wouldn't even bother.
