You should start with Blood Money or this game (HITMAN 2016) if you want to get into the series. The older games (Codename 47, Silent Assassin, Contracts) are still worth playing to this day so if you like how the games work then be sure to try them out too. Absolution is a fine game. Just an atrocious hitman game.If you really enjoyed the previous two you may find it to be worth the full price, but if you didn't play them much I would say wait for a sale or to not buy it. Thanks to an improved engine, Hitman 3 features sharper and more detailed background. The leaves on the trees are visible, as are the textures of the various surfaces and the facial features of the NPCs. The lighting was a major upgrade, and it looks spectacular in this game.

i think 3 is the best. Fantastic maps, the story gets extremely good, it has all of the mechanics from 2 plus the camera, which while undercooked as a mechanic is still a fun addition to your arsenal. My first Hitman game was Absolution, and while I enjoyed it to a certain degree, something didn't feel right.
