Daisy has Gatsby, a man she loves, but chooses to marry Tom, a man of wealth. When Gatsby becomes wealthy, she is ready to go with him. She represents the prize for both men but also the rich for whom there is never enough to satisfy them.Though Gatsby insisted that Daisy never loved Tom, Daisy admitted that she loved both Tom and Gatsby. The confrontation ended with Daisy leaving with Gatsby in his yellow car, while Tom departed with Nick and Jordan.At the end of the novel, only Tom and Daisy remain together, unscathed by the novels many tragedies and disappointments.
