Yes, there are grades, but they aren't the most important thing. When you complete your CELTA course, you will be awarded one of four possible grades: Fail (hopefully not), Pass (about 70% of successful candidates), Pass B (about 25% of successful candidates), or Pass A (about 5% of successful candidates).Pass B – A smaller percentage of graduates achieve a Pass B. In addition to the above, it demonstrates the teacher is able to clearly retain and build upon teaching methods and classroom management, and has the potential to manage a classroom with little need for support.67% of candidates get a pass grade. 20% of candidates get a pass B grade. 5% of candidates get a pass A grade. 5% of candidates fail.

Is C1 enough for CELTA : To take the CELTA, you need a minimum English level of C1. Having studied a language to this level yourself, you will be much, much more familiar with grammatical rules and terminology than some of your native-speaking course mates who may still be wrestling with the difference between an adjective and an adverb!
