The AOE 2 is the best among any age of empires title. The features like ability to garrison and gates with buildings like castle and all make it much better than the AOE 1. In AOE 1 all civs are almost the same but in AOE 2 we have slight differences in terms of unique units and unique tech.AOE4 is literally the third most played RTS at the moment (after SC2 and AOE2).
