1. Download The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II. The original unmodified version.
2. Open tBfMe_II. iso by either double clicking or right-clicking and selecting mount.
3. Launch AutoRun.exe on the disk. Install the game.
4. Download the Battle for Middle-earth II v1.06 Patch in your language on this page. (

Is Battle for Middle Earth on EA Play : The official game servers for The Battle for Middle-earth were permanently closed on December 31, 2010 by EA Games, due to the expiration of The Lord of the Rings video game license, however the players can still play it online using unofficial game servers.

EA doesn't have rights for LotR franchise anymore so they can't make new releases of their LotR games – and putting it on Steam would be a new release.
