It is so frustrating to come to the end of its three-season run with so many loose ends and unsatisfying conclusions. The writers of Bloodline are smart to not get into that gray morality right away, sticking with a tight time frame and taut pacing for the season's first hour.

Season 3 wasn't quite as good as the first two but it's still worth watching and really only speaks to just how good those first two seasons were. I do have to admit that the ending was just awful. The acting and writing are what makes this show so special.Season three's most glaring failure, perhaps, is its inability to provide catharsis and resolution. Their plotting and scheming is ingrained in their DNA.When we had conceived the show, we had thought of it as a five or six-season arc. After coming off “Damages” which we had run for five seasons, we didn't want to enter into another series unless it had the potential to run that long, because it allows for us to have much more depth of story and character.
