In my opinion a 12 and above would be okay for the game. If you allow them to play games like Sims (Sims probably have more sexual content then this game) Gears Of War (A really bloody game) or DeadSpace your kid should be mature enough to handle the game.Due to the relatively few sexual themes, I would recommend 11+ for most, but a very mature 9yr old could also play this game. Parents should still occasionally check in on the game to make sure their child is not engaging in weird activities. Minor swearing (“D—n You!”), so if you have an issue with that be mindful.Large blood-splatter effects also occur during combat, and some environments are stained with blood or body parts (e.g., heads impaled on spikes). Some sequences allow players to injure/kill nonadversary characters, including prisoners chained to a wall; they scream in pain amid splashes of blood or fire.

Why is Skyrim rated M : Weapons can get bloody during combat. A very mild "M" rated game. Violence is prevalent and decapitations are rare (mostly just some blood). At the beginning of the game a prisoner is put on a block and executioner cuts his head off with an axe.

Violence, drug use, and partial nudity are the main reasons. Obviously you are a warrior in the game. Whether you use weapons or magic is irrelevant. Not long and starting the game you see a bang his head cut off, complete with blood.

This game is quite good (if very buggy) as a whole, but as an avid player of it myself, I know it has an 18+ rating for a reason. There is a lot of violence (obviously), but also more hidden adult themes.

It has to be rated M17+ because of obvious legal reasons, but the actual content inside the game barely meets that rating, but when it does, it's extremely mild. I would honestly give it a Teen rating for violence and language. But otherwise, this game will be a lot of fun.Yes.
