Skyrim is an amazing moddable sandbox, Elden Ring is great right out of the box. I'd have to give it to Elden Ring simply because of the combat and harder difficulty.The Anniversary Edition is the most comprehensive with enhanced graphics, new mechanics, added quests, and mod support.

Short version:

1. install the mod to your SE game (it probably won't work, so don't bother testing)
2. Open the mod in the SE Creation Kit.
3. Change something (like the spelling of an item) and then change it back.
4. Save the mod.
5. In most cases, it will now work with SE.

Can I use my old Skyrim save to the special edition : There are currently 3 versions of Skyrim, Oldrim (Original Skyrim) this is 32bit, and the newer Skyrim Special/Legendary editions both 64bit. Obviously Oldrim saves are NOT compatible with the newer Skyrim versions and vice versa.
