Skyrim shares a significant similarity with Norse and Viking culture. Many of the Nord architecture, art, and general culture is inspired by the Vikings and the ancient Norse people. However, there are elements that are added to the mix to give Nords their own unique identity.Bjorn, the Viking nord. The Viking is an agile and ferocious combatant, a warrior who does not depend on magic to slaughter his opponents, but only on his martial skills and combat strategy. He travels through the icy lands of Skyrim in search of enemies of heights, gold and glory.Skyrim draws on inspiration from especially the Viking era. This means Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Iceland in particular.

What was Skyrim inspired by

Both Skyrim and the works of J.R.R. Tolkien are heavily influenced by Norse mythology, and this leads to quite a few overlapping ideas between these series. Although in other cases, it's entirely possible that Skyrim borrowed ideas from The Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit took some cues from Skyrim after that.

Is Skyrim based on Scandinavia : Some holds of Skyrim are almost identical to the Scandinavian countries. Falkreath and The Rift in Skyrim is very similar to Swedish scenery with it's deep pine forests and colorful birches. But also Skyrim in general with green valleys and large tundras to the south, and snowy regions and mountains to the north.

Nords borrow so much from Scandinavian and Viking history and culture that Skyrim is one step away from being a bonafide Norse mythology simulator. The series' other human races are generally direct parallels for other ancient cultures, as well.

And after having visited all my Scandinavian neighbors I can clearly say that the provinces and and scenery in Skyrim is based on Scandinavia.

Where is floki in Skyrim

Froki's Shack is a cabin where Froki Whetted-Blade lives with his son, Haming. It is located in Southern Skyrim. You can find it by traveling West from Riften.One final game that is heavily influenced by Norse Mythology is an obvious one, Skyrim. The culture of the Nords in Skyrim and the aesthetics of the game are like stepping into a magical Viking world.The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim depicts the rise of the Last Dragonborn, a legendary figure in Nordic folklore, but the game's character creation makes it so the player doesn't have to be a Nord.

Nords = Vikings/Scandanavians, Imperials = Romans, Bretons = Celts.

Where is Ragnar in Skyrim : Background. He resides in the Karthwasten Miner's Barracks. He is Ainethach's right-hand man and helps supervise the mines.
