The 3050 claims to have 3,072 CUDA cores, but that includes a huge number of the cut-down tensor cores, which are often useless. To get the “real” core count of a 3050/3060/3070/3080 you need to divide the Nvidia-claimed core count in half. Therefore the alleged 3,072 CUDA cores of the RTX 3050 is actually only 1,536.

It might be premature to call a GPU that came out half a year ago one of the worst ever, but sometimes it's obvious that it has to be. Not only is the RTX 4060 Ti a pretty bad graphics card in its own right, but it's something of a microcosm for the entire RTX 40-series and all of its problems.
