The Cambridge Advanced Certificate (CAE) exam is a challenging test of English proficiency, and some parts are notoriously difficult. Many test-takers struggle with the writing and speaking sections, which require a high level of fluency and accuracy.

Is Level C1 Fluent : CEFR-level C1 (advanced)
You can express yourself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. You can use language flexibly and effectively for social and professional purposes.
Level B2 Certificate If your performance is below Level C1, but falls within Level B2, you will receive a Cambridge English certificate stating that you demonstrated ability at B2 level.
Someone with a C2 level speaks the language on a near-native level. Even though the language is not their mother-tongue, they understand, speak and write it really well and have no trouble with the great majority of the slang and idioms.

The relationships between the different possible scores are shown in the diagram below. Is B2 native : A B2 level of English would allow you to function in the workplace in English, and indeed, many non-native English speakers in international workplaces have this level of English. A person working in English at a B2 level will, however, lack nuance particularly outside his own field.
Is B2 level bad : Level B2 corresponds to a more advanced, more independent level than previous levels. A B2 user can communicate easily and spontaneously in a clear and detailed manner. This is not yet an experienced speaker, but a B2 user is able to understand and be understood in most situations.
Is English C1 hard
C1 is an advanced English level. C1 users can speak English with ease, and understand the language in (almost!) all of its complexity. By this point, you will be able to have longer conversations, even about unfamiliar topics.
Fluent (C1+)
You have now reached written and spoken fluency. You can communicate naturally, effectively, and appropriately even in demanding oral and written tasks and situations. Occasional mistakes do not lead to a misunderstanding of your message.The C1 level would allow for full autonomy in a native English-speaking country. According to the official CEFR guidelines, someone at the C1 level in English: Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning.
