LEVEL K BOOKS come from a wide variety of genres. Many of them are short or longer illustrated chapter books. The stories will have multiple plots and more complex characters. Many of the words will have complex letter-sound relationships and complex spelling patterns.LEVEL O BOOKS have a larger range of genres, including fantasy, realistic fiction, and traditional tales. The nonfiction may have graphic features that provide more information about the topic. There will be new words that require solving by taking words apart by syllables or by using base words and affixes.

What is reading level L : LEVEL L BOOKS are usually have more sophisticated plots and fewer illustrations. The stories may have multiple characters to understand and follow. The sentences vary in length and complexity. Many of the words will have two, three, or more syllables and there will be many words with suffixes and prefixes.

Level G is equivalent to 7th Grade in the U.S. In these i-Ready lessons, many characters appear. Older lessons were being replaced by new lessons without characters as of 2020, 2021, and 2022.This does not mean that others can't read / watch and understand Harry Potter. Its just that book four onwards might be a little frightening to kids below 8.
