While longtime fans may be tired of the samey gameplay, there's enough reason here to believe that EA has plans for the near future.NHL 21 scored a 6 out of 10 from IGN, but had a 82% recommended rating. Meanwhile, NHL 20 had a 7.9 from IGN, but a significantly less 67% recommended rating. This leads us to assume that NHL 20 was more liked by rating companies like IGN, while NHL 21 was more liked by fans of the game.

Should I buy NHL 21 : NHL 21 is at its best when I'm playing the wacky modes in World of Chel or the new HUT Rush where I can just go end-to-end while trying to pull off skill moves. The new Be A Pro additions are also significant and help to get that single-player experience more in line with other modern sports games.

It'll be cheaper and if your just trying to learn the game, Be A Pro and the other offline modes are effective teaching tools. 23 had some small graphic upgrades and a couple of gameplay tweaks, but nothing worth the price tag unless it's on sale. It depends on what modes you think you will use most.

I just like its balance of fun gameplay and how it doesn't shamelessly abuse microtransactions like other more popular sports games out there. For NHL 21, the series brings in a more fleshed out Be A Pro mode as well as more intuitive movement on the ice.
