Which is stronger IPA or stout?
WHY ARE IPAS SO STRONG There's nothing inherently strong about an IPA compared to other beers. Some IPAs are stronger than the average regular beer, and some regular beers are stronger than the average IPA. You can buy 0% ABV IPA but there's also 8.2% ABV IPA.Most stouts rely on their rich, roasted barley malt to create their flavors and have very few hops in comparison to IPA beers. IPAs are almost overloaded with hops that give it's bitter, edgy flavor over other types of pale ales. That's why black IPAs are IPAs and not stouts; because they're hopping mad!IS STOUT STRONGER THAN BEER Stout has an average strength of around 4% ABV. However, there's always variation within the style, such as Imperial Stouts. These beers can exceed 16% ABV, but often float around the 11% – 13% mark.

Are stouts higher in alcohol : Stouts differ from porters because they use unmalted, roasted barley instead of malted, unroasted barley. Most stouts have higher alcohol contents and IBU scores than porters. While both stouts and porters are dry hopped, stouts contain fewer hops than porters.
